Uma leitura fenomenológica do Livro X, 5-7 das Confissões de Agostinho: O saber de si mesmo, a “objetualidade” divina e a natureza da alma

The article focuses on the phenomenological appropriation carried out by Martin Heidegger from chapters five to seven of Book X Augustine's Confessions, corresponding § 8 (“The introduction book X”) Friborgense lecture summer semester 1921 entitled “Augustine and Neoplatonism ”(Augustin und der Neuplatonismus). In present paragraph lecture, he discusses four aspects confession-praise: 1st) reason for confiteri before God men (Confessions, X, 1-4); 2) Knowledge about oneself in context abyss human consciousness (Conf. 5); 3º)The “objectivity” is not originally accessed Greek perspective divine attributes 6); 4th) essence soul receives its life Himself, who “surpasses” it. Hence confession: “Who One above top my soul?” 7). reading I will highlight only last three based Heidegger's being Augustine Hippo meaning realizing as an original phenomenon. Confessing both what you know yourself (Selbst) well ignore and, at same time, becoming a question (quaestio mihi factus sum) makes sense concrete connection factual experience self (Selbst), existence authentic self. attitude Augustinian search himself, sees drive when talks realization (Vollzug), that is, existential dynamics quaerere Deum.  Finally, ambiguity journey explored Heidegger, sometimes objective interpretation due influence metaphysics (God object fruition [fruitio Dei]), historical-existential approach phatic life.
